David Fincher

David Fincher is a movie director. He was born on August 28, 1962 in Colorado, United States. He started making films when he was 18 years old. He founded a video production company when he was 24 years old and worked on music videos for Madonna and Aerosmith. In 1992, his debut work Alien 3 was released. Fight Club was released in 1999. Brad Pitt plays a big role in Se7en and Fight Club. Se7en is the movie I'll introduce this time. David Fincher's movies are characterized many dark scenes.


 Se7en is a movie released in 1995. The genre of this movie is suspense and thriller. The filming took place in Los Angeles, California. When released, it generated 327.3 million dollar in revenue worldwide. It’s the seventh highest record in 1995. At the 68th Academy Awards, Fincher won the Best Film Editing award. The main characters are Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman. Their relationship is a veteran detective who will retire in a week and a new detective.


 The new detective David Mills works with veteran detective Somerset. One day, a murder case occurred. From the investigation of Somerset, "GLUTTONY" was written on the back of the refrigerator. This case was a crime based on the Christian "seven deadly sins." They can't find the criminal. Suddenly, blood and the criminal appeared. They will go to the place where the criminal said a new cadaver was placed...


 My favorite point is that the more times I see it, the more new discoveries they are. You can't understand the depiction just by looking at it once. Especially in the last scene, people will think differently. Also, I could learn about religion. Comparing  La Divina Commedia by the Italian poet Dante Alighieri and this movie,  there are many things in common. If you look at it many times, you can understand the religious background of the movie.

It was released in 2018, it is set in the United States in 1984.The main character is played by Graham Marc Verchere, a Canadian actor who was 16 year old at the time. The movie features four  young actors in their mid-teens. In 1984, Davie was a 15 year old boy living in Oregon, USA. In his  neighborhood, there were many incidents where children went missing.   A CLOCKWORK ORANGE  was released in  1972. This film's director is Stanley Kubrick. Starring is Malcolm McDowell. It is a radical work, but this movie has been selected for over 20 awards.
